1. Â I was 13 when I had my first kiss. Â It was at a dance during summer camp. Â His name was Matt. Â After summer camp was over, we had a brief period of exchanged letters. Â In one of these, he sent me a drawing he had done especially for me of The Predator.
2. Â High school was a time for much unrequited love. Â I didn’t go to prom (though I desperately wanted to) and except for item #1, there was no kissing. Â Perhaps one day I will scan and post some pictures from this era to help illustrate the teenage woes.
3. Â In the beginning times of The David, there was an afternoon when we were talking about how we felt about one another. Â We were both dancing around saying “I love you” for the first time, so instead I told him that he gave me a welling in my heart. Â Ever since, “having a welling” has been one of our things.
I love your blog! It is always so honest and heart-felt 🙂 xx
Ha ha, when I first read #3, I got the image of you both prancing around in your living room on your tippy toes saying “I love you” for the first time to each other. I know love makes us giddy, but dancing? That seemed a little ridiculous. Only after I read it a second time did I get the figurative, “avoiding the issue” meaning.
Sometimes we do dance around saying ‘I love you!’ But it’s in the kitchen, not the living room.
I was 16 when I had my first kiss. I went to prom…alone. My second kiss was in college.
Ohh! Hillary! How I heart you!
Hurrah for the nerds of us!

I love number three. Tyler was/is kind of shy about feelings, so once, instead of telling me I was pretty, he told me I was the opposite of gross.
Oh, that is so so cute. I just teared up a little.
